Paula Deas is a Scottish artist based on the East Coast of Scotland. Her work is heavily inspired by the everchanging beaches. Working with oils on canvas Paula explores varying textures and markings using palette knives and paint brushes. Drawn to deep tones she forms moody atmospheric landscapes and seascapes enveloping the wildness of nature’s elements. Captivated by the movement of water and the changing tides, Paula uses the canvas to express the spirit felt in the timeless state of motion on Lochs and the unstoppable fluctuation of the shifting landscape on the Scottish coastline
